Stephen Desmond was a good friend of mine in the local music community. I first met him during the early days of the Perpetual Intermittent Tour days when Caroline Gomez and I would perform as Buddy. It was a mutual admiration society, and so, when Steve passed, I organized a tribute album that included a wide swath of those who knew and loved him. Miraculously, from beyond, Steve was able to reunite Buddy for this project, with Caroline taking the lead vocal on this newer arrangement.
